The Jason Interview

What turns you on creatively,
spiritually or emotionally?
Nightmares.
They're utter fantasy, but some of the best dreams I have had were
nightmares. I impress myself with my mind's own ability to spin things
from
the whole cloth of my imagination. The most imspirational, wonderful,
and
impressive things I've done, literally in my own mind, have been my
nightmares.
What do you value most in
people?
Independence and individuality.
I dislike people who are clingly. Who want to "save me." I find
that so
unattractive and unappealing. It's as if they use other people as cructhes
to lean on, and want to be leaned on in return in some kind of sick symbotic
relationship. I like it when people can stand on their own and be their
own
person. It means they have more to bring to the table as individuals.
I
value individuality. I disdain people who are merely appendges of other
people.
What do you consider the
most overrated virtue?
Faith.
More senseless, brutal, and violent acts that fly in the face of common
sense can be attributes to people who zealously 'believed' in something
without just cause. Faith is a belief not grounded in reality. Faith is
rooted in subjectivity. It has no reason. I always question. I always
ask
"why". I look for answers rather than accept what is offered,
or what is
popular opinion.
