Books & Comics
Century Productions™ was founded in 1998 by Roberto Mendoza and Mabelyn Arteaga with the intention of producing their own underground graphic novels. Like all young projects, Century Productions™ evolved. Its existence soon gave way to something far greater than itself. In 2001, PANDORA magazine™, an artists' magazine created by artists for artists was founded.

Although, Century Productions™ is now a subsidiary of PANDORA magazine™, and no longer operates as an independent entity, many of its characters have found new homes throughout Roberto Mendoza's online shops.

Artist's Personal Note
The realms of fantasy and magic were always a second home to me. I seemed drawn to the pages of fairytales and folk lore like a solitary moth to a bright flickering flame.

The Ladies Divine
The success of "The Starlight Zodiac" series has inspired Roberto Mendoza to take its design and look a step or two further... beyond the stars... and into the heavens! "The Ladies Divine" is an art nouveau collection of multi-cultural Goddesses modernized with an "Azodnem" flair into fierce divalicious fashionistas!

Featured: Yemaya
Yemaya is an orisha, originally of the Yoruba religion, who has become prominent in many Afro-American and Latin religions. Africans brought Yemaya and a host of other deities, and energy forces in nature with them when they were brought to the shores of the Americas as captives. Yemaya is the mother of all living things, as well as the owner of all waters. She is the vast ocean, the essence of motherhood, a protector of children, and a goddess of magic and witches. In Cuban Santeria, she has been syncretized with Our Lady of Regla.

Artist's Personal Note
The art deco and "paper doll" look of "The Ladies Divine" series actually began months before with the creation of "The Starlight Aquarius" from "The Starlight Zodiac" series. Her face and style graced not just the stellar, and divine divas, but the ones over the rainbow as well.

New goddesses are constantly being added to the series, as inspiration demands and time allows.

Artist's Personal Note
It was, without question, my nieces' performances in their dance school's rendition of "Wicked" that finally made me strap on a pair of ruby shoes and wait for Glinda (with a 2x4 in hand). "The Land of Oz" series literally poured out of me. I couldn't stop. One character's completion lead to the next one's birth, and then the next one... and so on and so on. Each one felt charged with the life and magic that L. Frank Baum gave them over a century ago. I did nothing more than add a small brick of my own to the already long road.

However, now that I've finished the series... Dorothy is going to have to find her own way from now on, because frankly, I'll be grabbing a broomstick and heading West. I hear there's a vacancy in some forlorn castle out there, and a bunch of monkeys with nothing to do! Fly, my pretties! Fly!

A Magickal Collection

The Whimsical & Starlight Zodiac Series
The power of the Zodiac has influenced the destinies of woman and man, since the first starlight twinkle shown down upon the Earth. Roberto Mendoza proudly presents his own series of original Zodiac designs to help illuminate the way for all those seeking wisdom from the heavens.

Featured: Whimsical & Starlight Aquarius
Aquarians basically possess strong and attractive personalities. They fall into two principle types: one shy, sensitive, gentle and patient; the other exuberant, lively and exhibitionist, sometimes hiding the considerable depths of their character under a cloak of frivolity. Both types are strong willed and forceful in their different ways and have strong convictions, though as they seek truth above all things, they are usually honest enough to change their opinions, however firmly held, if evidence comes to light which persuades them that they have been mistaken.

Artist's Personal Note
The "Whimsical Series" was created in late 1999, and had been featured in the Cauldron section of Azodnem.com (along with spicy weekly horoscopes) ever since.

Loosely based on the original "Whimsical Series", the "Starlight Series" was developed for a 2008 release, with individual signs being posted as they were completed. Male versions of the Starlight Aquarius, Gemini, Sagittarius, and Virgo were added in late August of 2008.
